李可染所作之《放牧图》，画作以“垂柳覆荫”构局：左上柳干以“屋漏痕”笔法写就，焦墨枯笔盘曲如青铜锈蚀，尽显篆籀筋骨；垂枝以“积墨法”层层皴染，淡墨氤氲出清凉气韵，与牛群的浓墨形成虚实对照。Herding Scene by Li Keran adopts a composition of "willows casting shade": the willow trunk in the upper left is painted with the brushwork like "leaking roof stains" — dry dark ink with withered strokes twists like rusted bronze, fully demonstrating the strength of seal script calligraphy; the hanging branches are textured layer by layer using the "ink-layering technique", and the light ink exudes a cool and refreshing aura, forming a contrast between void and solid with the dark ink used for the cattle herd.
