定窑为宋代六大窑系之一，产自河北曲阳等地，创于唐，盛于北宋、金，终于元，以白釉瓷闻名，亦产珍贵黑釉瓷“黑定”。此黑定盘黑釉白胎，胎薄质密，釉黑如漆、光滑少泡，盘中四层印纹，寓意富贵吉利。Ding Kiln is one of the six major kiln systems of the Song Dynasty, originating from areas such as Quyang in Hebei Province. It was established in the Tang Dynasty, flourished during the Northern Song and Jin dynasties, and declined in the Yuan Dynasty. It is renowned for its white-glazed porcelain and also produces the rare and precious black-glazed porcelain known as "Black Ding." This Black Ding plate features a black glaze with a white body, characterized by a thin yet dense composition. The glaze is as black as lacquer, smooth to the touch, and contains few bubbles. The plate is adorned with four layers of impressed patterns, symbolizing wealth, prosperity, and good fortune.
